Honiton solicitors ease the home buying process

Everys Solicitors in Honiton has a raft of residential property expertise at its disposal to help ease the stress of the home buying and selling process.

Its team of chartered legal executives, Amanda Findlay and Paula Land, and conveyancing executive Dulcie Wareham, is on hand at the Everys branch in New Street to guide their clients through the conveyancing experience.

Miss Findlay said: “We understand that convenience and efficiency is crucial when it comes to the process of buying and selling houses. We also understand that getting the job right comes down to taking the time to get to know our clients and understanding their unique situations.”

Everys gives practical advice to a range of residential property clients whether they are buying, selling, starting out as a first-time buyer, remortgaging, releasing equity or investing in a new home.

Mrs Land joined the Everys conveyancing team in 1978. She is a member of the Country Landowners’ Association, a committee member of the Honiton & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry and steward to the trustees of both Allhallows Charity and Honiton United Charities.

She said: “We provide honest, practical and imaginative solutions communicated to you in plain English,” said Mrs Land. “And our friendly and local approach means you will get a direct access to the person working for you, someone like me, whenever you need it.

“We understand that buying and selling houses can be a complicated and often stressful process. So we take the time to understand your unique circumstances and keeping you informed at every stage of the buying and selling process.”

Everys undertakes a pre-marketing review to anticipate any pitfalls before they become problems and offers an abortive fee scheme should a sale or purchase fall through. The team’s local knowledge and relationships with estate agents and surveyors in and around Honiton make all the difference in offering discounted surveys.

Mrs Wareham, who has worked at the Honiton branch for seven years, said: “Many law firms have consolidated their branches into large city-based offices to streamline costs, but Everys Solicitors has remained loyal to its local populations, such as to those people living in Honiton, by retaining its branch network.

“This means people living in Honiton can call into our branch when they need to and we can create real relationships with our clients, which we hope will last many years to come whether they wish to move some time in the future or need to access any of our other legal services.”
