National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship Week

As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we’re shining a spotlight on the benefits of apprenticeships and the impact they have on career development. At Everys, we offer a supportive and dynamic learning environment where apprentices can grow and gain valuable industry experience.

We sat down with Jessica Beaty, an Apprentice Administrator in our Private Client department, to hear about her journey so far.

What made you choose an apprenticeship over other career paths?

After finishing my A-levels, I started looking into apprenticeships. I felt that this would be the perfect choice for me because it offers a hands-on learning experience, with the bonus of gaining a qualification at the same time.

Why pick Everys?

I chose to continue my education with Everys because of the firm’s genuine commitment to career progression and development opportunities. Since joining, I have settled into my role; become familiar with my daily tasks; and have really got to know my team. I started my apprenticeship about five months ago, and I truly appreciate how Everys gave me the extra time I needed to adjust.

What is your favourite part of your job?

My favourite part of my job is the people I work with and the support I receive from them to help me succeed and grow. The firm is very accommodating and committed to furthering my education.

What’s the most valuable skill you’ve learned so far?

Since starting this role, I have found that one of the most valuable skills I have developed is the ability to adapt to different environments. This has proven to be extremely helpful when placed in situations that were previously unfamiliar to me, such as attending meetings.

What advice would you give to someone considering an apprenticeship?

I believe that if you aren’t considering an apprenticeship, you definitely should. Getting paid while learning and being part of the business in action provides valuable experience.
